Rislone Diesel DEF AdBlue Treatment is an anti-crystallization solution that is used every time filling the DEF/AdBlue® tank.

  • Improves diesel exhaust fluid and avoids costly SCR / DEF system repairs.
  • Protects the tank, pump, heater, sender, lines, injector and mixer.
  • Works with all UREA AdBlue DEF diesel exhaust fluids and will not void manufacturer’s new vehicle warranty.
  • Regular use every time refilling the DEF / AdBlue tank works to prevent the white crystallization deposits from occurring.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Rislone Diesel AdBlue® Treatment do?
Rislone Diesel AdBlue® Treatment works to prevent the formation and buildup of white crystal deposits in the tank, pump, heater, sender, lines, injector, decomposition tube/reactor and mixer.

How often should this be used?
Use every time filling DEF / AdBlue® tank.

What is the best way to add Rislone Diesel AdBlue® Treatment?
Fill tank completely with DEF and make Rislone Diesel AdBlue® Treatment the last thing added to the system or add to the DEF cube and use that to top off.

How much do I use for the first treatment?
Add to mostly full AdBlue® tank or add and fill tank. Light Truck or Mid-Size to Large SUV (19-34 litre DEF tank capacity) – 80 ml Car or Small SUV (11-19 litre DEF tank capacity) – 40 ml Medium and Heavy Duty Diesel Trucks (38-76 litre DEF tank capacity) – 225 ml Equipment & Machinery – 5 ml per every litre

How much do I use for a maintenance dosage?
5 ml – per litre 10 ml – per 2 litres 25 ml – per 5 litres 50 ml – per 10 litres

What are the white deposits and where do they come from?
The white hard crystal deposits found in DEF fluid, or the SCR system are typically UREA that has crystallized. These crystals can block injectors and other parts of the SCR system.

What is DEF?
Liquid urea and deionized water (32.5% urea and 67.5% water), also known as Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) or AdBlue®, which is injected into the hot exhaust stream of the diesel engine and is then pushed out the tailpipe.

Can I use Diesel AdBlue® Treatment if it has frozen?
Just like DEF fluid, Diesel AdBlue® Treatment can freeze. If it has frozen and the bottle is not broken, let thaw out, shake well, and then use as directed.

What causes DEF fluid to go bad?
Evaporation & Leakage: If the DEF system has any air leaks, the DEF can escape and the water will evaporate, leaving behind crystallized urea.
Age: Old DEF fluid in containers or in the system, especially if it has been exposed to sunlight.
Overfilling: Overfilling the DEF tank can also lead to spills, which can then crystallize.
Improper Handling: If DEF is not handled or stored properly, contamination can occur, which can also lead to crystallization. DEF should always be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
Poor Quality DEF: If the DEF used is not of good quality (meaning, it doesn't maintain the required ratio of deionized water to urea), it can lead to deposits.

Will this product harm the DEF, SCR or DPF system?
No, this will not harm your engine or any emissions components. Specifically designed and safe to use on vehicles which have DOC catalytic converters, DPF particulate filters, SCR selective catalytic reduction devices, ASC ammonia slip catalyst or DEF / AdBlue systems. Will not void manufacturer’s new vehicle warranty.

What if I accidentally added DEF fluid or Diesel AdBlue® Treatment to my diesel fuel?
Accidently adding DEF fluid or Diesel AdBlue® Treatment to diesel fuel can cause serious engine damage. If the engine has not been started, the diesel fuel tank should be drained and cleaned. If the vehicle has been run, not only will the tank need to be cleaned, but the entire fuel system and then check the engine for damage.

Why is there foaming when the product is added to my system?
Foaming is normal with these newer DEF additives and is not an indication of contamination. There is a detergent as the main ingredient. It is used to break down the crystals and get them back into suspension, but it can cause foaming to occur.

Can Rislone Diesel AdBlue® Treatment be used with a premium platinum type DEF fluid?
From our research and testing we have found the platinum to be a little better than most normal DEF fluids, so it does have some benefits, but not nearly as much as using the Rislone Diesel AdBlue Treatment.
